This substack is a culmination of everything I’ve always wanted in a book club—a nerdy group where romance writers everywhere can grab a coffee or chai ☕, pull up a cozy chair, and analyze romance scenes together.

I searched for my ideal book club for a while only to hit a big fat brick wall with a capital B.

There are no shortage of romantics in the world. I mean none.

Where I kept hitting a dead end was the search for romantics who wanted to discuss the specifics of why a romance scene works and the mechanism that makes it function.

I didn’t just want to read romance 📚.

I wanted to read romance to improve my own writing. This substack is my ode to any romance writer with late night dreams of the same little community of nerds I have.
